Activists of Communist Party of India (CPI) on Tuesday carried out a morcha to the Divisional Commissioner Office pressing for their various pending demands.
CPI activists gathered at Kranti Chowk from where the morcha started and reached the Divisional Commissioner's Office. During their morcha, the agitators raised slogans against the state as well as the Centre which have allegedly failed to fulfill their promises in Education, Employment and Health sectors during the last four years.
In their memorandum, which they submitted to the officials, they raised a number of questions to governments including when the landlesss will get the lands, when the government will implement Swaminathan Commission report, when the government will provide justice to farmers, when government are going to provide free houses, among others. Those prominent who participated in the morcha were state secretary Tukaram Bhasme, Rajan Khirsagar, Madhuri Khirsagar, Manohar Taksal, Abhay Takasal,Com Ram Baheti, Dr Balchandra Kango, Asfaq Salami among others.
