Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) Supremo and Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao will meet his Odisha counterpart Navin Patnaik in Bhuvaneshwar in the first week of next month.
Mr Rao's visit to Odisha assumes significance in view of his efforts to forge a non-Congress and non-BJP Federal front at the National level.
He chose the first week of May for his visit as the Legislative Assembly of that state was now in session, according to sources.
The TRS Chief will discuss the National politics with Mr Patnaik, the sources added. Mr Rao had already met his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata and discussed his move for formation of a Federal front. Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren came down to Hyderabad recently and held discussions with the Chief Minister on the issue.
It may be mentioned that Ms.Banarjee and AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi, MP, were among the first to welcome Mr.Rao's proposal for a non-Congress and non-BJP alternative at the National level.
