Amit Shah to visit Telangana in June: Laxman

BJP National President Amit Shah will visit Telangana in June, BJP Telangana unit President Dr Laxman said.

Talking to newsmen after participating in the state-level party meeting which was held at the party headquaters here on Monday, Dr Laxman said as part of strengthening the party in Telangana, Mr Shah would visit Telangana in June.

Mr Shah has asked the Telangana party cadre to campaign in Karnataka Assembly election where telugu people are residing largely, Dr Laxman said and added that as per directions of the BJP National President the state party cadre would campaign in Karnataka from Tuesday.

Mr B S Yeddyurappa is pro-farmer but Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is a anti-farmer and several farmers had committed suicide during his regime, he alleged.

Dr Laxman expressed confidence that the BJP would win the Assembly election in Karnataka on May 12.

While explaining details of the state-level meeting, Dr Laxman said that the party has decided to take the Central Government schemes to the grass root level and at the same time the party would expose the failures of the TRS government.

Dr Laxman said that the meeting also decided to conduct Gram Swaraj Abhiyan in Telangana. It was launched on April 14, the Birth Anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar across the country. It would continue across the country till May 5. " During the period , people representatives of the party including MPs, MLS, MLC will visit villages and explain the details of the Central schemes to them. They representatives also will stay in Dalit wadas in nights and have dinner along with them", Dr Laxman said. He said that the party was planning to tour in 50 Assembly Constituencies in two phases in June in the name of "Praja Chaitanya Yatra". Each phase will cover 25 Assembly Constituencies, he said.
