Seven held for stripping a minor girl naked

The Jamboo marine police on Tuesday arrested seven youths for their involvement in stripping and outraging the modesty of a 17-year old girl.

The youths also forcibly took the naked photographs of of the victim minor girl on last Sunday night at Bengali dominated Pitapata village, Kendrapara Superintendent of police Dayanidhi Gochhait said.

According to Mr Gochhait, the victim girl,a resident of Bengali dominated Pitapata village under Jamboo Marine police limit, was sitting with her relative brother at local Manasa temple when the youths assaulted her cousin and later forcibly stripped the girl and and outraged her modesty.

The youths took the naked photo of the minor girl and threatened to make the naked photo viral in social media.

The victim's father filed an FIR on Monday, and acting on the FIR the police registered a case and arrested seven accused youths.

On Tuesday, the Jamboo Marine police produced the victim girl before the Additional District Judge (ADJ) for recording her statement under 164 of CrPC. The statement was later recorded before the Munsif as per the direction of the ADJ ,UNI XC-DP AND
