Minister AK Ghatani attends End TB Summit

Minister for Health AK Ghatani has committed that Sikkim will be eliminating TB by 2022.

While participating in the Delhi End TB Summit today he urged Union Govt to support Sikkim for eliminating and controlling Tuberculosis.

India wants to eliminate TB 5 years before the date set for achieving Sustainable Goals and Sikkim wants to realise the goal 3 years ahead of Centre.

Minister Ghatani was in Delhi to attend the launching of TB Free India Campaign by PM N Modi at Vigyan Bhawan.

Subsequently Ghatani presented a talk in the session chaired by Union Health Minister JP Nadda.

Ghatani said the State is preparing TB elimination strategy. The elimination process will be carried forward with the participation of all the stakeholders, public representatives and civil society .The plan is expected to be ready by 15 April next. UNI NN AND
