Life returns to normal after day-long strike in Kashmir

Life returned to normal on Sunday in the Kashmir valley after daylong strike called by separatists against civilians deaths in alleged security force action.Restrictions, which were imposed in the downtown, Shehar-e-Khas (SeK) Srinagar and parts of civil lines as a precautionary measure, were lifted.Meanwhile, hundreds of vendors have set up stalls on 3-km-long famous Sunday market in the city. Shops and business establishments, which remain open on Sundays, are doing normal business and traffic on all routes was plying normally in summer capital, Srinagar, and other major towns and tehsil headquarters in the valley. The three-km-long weekly market from Radio Kashmir (RK), Srinagar, crossing to Hari Singh High Streets (HSHS), including historic Lal Chowk, the nerve centre of the city, witnessed huge rush of customers, who were busy buying warm clothes and other items.Reports of normalcy were also received from north, south and central Kashmir districts and tehsil headquarters with business and other activities resuming today.UNI ABS SV 1245
