Goa on Friday claimed that Karnataka has started the construction of head regulator and allied work on the Kalsa nallahs in total disregard of the orders of the Tribunal and Supreme Court directives. In a statement here, Goa Water Resources Department (WRD) Minister Vinod Palyekar,'' Karnataka has started the construction of head regulator and allied work on the Kalsa nallahs in total disregard of the orders of the Tribunal and Supreme court directives. A team of my Engineers from WRD visited the site and confirmed the same with photographs.'' The minister said the government was seized with the issue and letters would be sent to Karnataka Government raising the issue and issue would also be taken up with the Mahadayi Tribunal. ''If needed I would visit the site tonight itself. Have summoned CE WRD for meeting right now,'' he said. The minister also held a meeting with Advocate General Dattaprasad Lawanded, North Goa Collector Nila Mohanan and WRD Chief Engineer Sandeep Nadkarni regarding he alleged violation.
