IAF helicopter makes emergency landing

An Indian Air Force helicopter which took off from the IAF's Maharajpura base in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior on a routine stortie made an emergency landing in nearby Bhind following a technical snag, police said. The chopper carrying IAF personnel Deepak Chaturvedi, RK Verma and DK Sahu developed technical glitch while flying over Bhind at around 1430 hrs yesterday. The helicopter took three rounds of the town before making emergency landing at the Special Armed Force's 17th Battalion ground. Town Inspector (Kotwali) SS Kushwah said that additional police personnel were deployed for the chopper's safety. UNI XC-PS
