The chairman of Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN), leader of NPF Legislature Party and sitting MLA Kuzholuzo Nienu has said that the recently concluded 'Colloquium on Road Connectivity,' was just an "eye wash and a political gimmick." Inaugurating the amphitheater at Thuvopisiu village under Phek district yesterday Nienu said there is no security to life, no roads, no bridges, no developments, no salaries, no scholarships to student's adding that the illegal immigrants issue and so much more but the present government is not bother at all. In this context, he termed the present Government headed by Chief Minister T R Zeliang as one of the most unpopular and most insignificant government recorded ever in the history of Nagaland. This period will be recorded as the most disturbing and dark period for the Nagas to remember, with CBI cases and NIA behind the present Government. He alleged that the present State government was the weakest government in the history of Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA). Asserting that the "unconstitutional Government" should not to be complacent thinking that it was an opposition-less government, Nienu said the NPF legislators, no matter how less the number may be, would fight for rights of the Naga people at any given opportune time. Nienu also claimed that the present government has no concern what so ever for the people it represent. He said, if the Nagas want developments and want to see the light of the day, they have to vote for the right people and right party. "This can happen only if NPF is voted to power," he maintained. In his address, the deputy commissioner of Phek Kovi Meyase, addressing the function, said the amphitheatre could be used for multi-purpose and appreciated the construction of such facility in the village. Kovi also urged upon the villagers to cooperate with the government to access more developmental packages. UNI AS AKM
