Welfare Minister Louis Marandi reviews drinking supply schemes in Dumka

Jharkhand's Welfare Minister Louis Marandi today visited the various villages in this district and took stock of the various schemes related to drinking water supply including the Neer Nirmal Yojana and Chief Minister Drinking Water Supply Scheme. Talking to the reporters, she said providing pure and clean drinking water to the people was a priority for the state government. She said all the schemes of drinking water have commenced in this district and schemes which are closed due to any reason would also be made operational soon. She said, the state government was working with a fixed target in mind. She said drinking water would be provided in all the homes through pipeline in this district.

She said, the government wanted to make sure that development reached to the last man in the society. The minister said, to solve the water related issues of the rural areas, the drinking water supply schemes in the villages are being accorded more importance and ensured that all villages in Dumka would be provided drinking water through pipeline. The minister also visited an under construction hospital in Gando village and met the sevikas and sahaikas at Badtalli anganwadi kendra. She also inspected the food items being given to the children at the anganwadi kendras and asked the officials to make sure that good quality food should be provided to the children at anagwadi centers.UNI XC-AK AKM
