Junior Engineer caught taking bribe in Palamu by ACB

Sleuths of the Anti Corruption Bureau today caught a junior engineer red handed while he was accepting6a bribe of Rs 15,000. The arrested JE has been identified as Ajit Kumar Pandey, who was posted in Pandwa block and was nabbed from his house located under Sadar Police Station area of the Palamu district. Pandey was the 20th government official who has been caught taking bribe by the ACB unit of Palamu. ACB officials said a complaint against the JE was lodged against one Rahul Ranjan Prajapati, who had alleged that the JE was not undertaking measurement of a road on which a PCC was to be constructed from the funds of the 14th finance commission in Sikki village. After verification of the complaint, the ACB laid a trap and caught the engineer red handed as soon as he accepted the bribe. He was later taken to Daltonganj where he was produced before a special court which forwarded him to judicial custody.UNI XC-AK AKM
