As part of the celebrations of completion of 100 days in power of the present state government, a Garib Kalyan Mela was organised in the Palamu district which was inaugurated by Local MP V D Ram.
Those who also graced the occasion included MLAs Radha Krishan Kishore, Alok Chourasia, Kushwaha Shivpujan Mehta and dc Amit Kumar and SP Inderjeet Mahtha.
Addressing the programme, Mr Ram said the state government has managed to do various works in the 1000 days which could not be done in the previous 14 years. He said massive works have been done in the areas of roads, education, health care and irrigation.
The MP said, while the nation was scaling new heights under Prime Minister Modi, the state was making rapid progress under Chief Minister Raghubar Das. He urged the BJP workers to ensure that the schemes of the central and the state government reach to every person in the state.
Chattarpur MLA Radha Krishan Kishore said despite 14 years, the Jharkhand Assembly could not have its own building and after Chief Minister Raghubar Das came to power, the construction of new Vidhan Sabha building has commenced.
He said by 2019, Jharkhand would emerge as a power self sufficient state. He said basic works have been done for infrastructure development in the state and a network of roads was been laid. On the occasion, among 14,168 beneficiaries deeds and assets worth Rs 165 crore were distributed. A free health care camp was also organised. UNI XC-AK AKM
