Amid rumours that he will take the political plunge, actor Kamal Haasan has finally broken his silence saying he was thinking on those lines due to compulsion.

In an interview, he said he was seriously considering forming his own party.

The actor-directed called as 'Ulaga Nayagan' by his fans, said ''Yes I am thinking on those lines not out of choice, but due to compulsion!Which existing political party can provide me with a platform or an ideology that will match my reformatory goals in politics''.

The actor has been highly critical of the ruling AIADMK ever since the death of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.

He is very active on Twitter and minces no words when condemningthe infighting and the functions of the government.

The national award winning actor-director recently alleged that there was rampant corruption in every department of the government, drawing critical remarks from several Ministers.

Meanwhile in the interview, the actor, said ''When I am elected, I'd like to be held accountable by the voter. Don't vote me in and then wait for five years to vote me out! Sack me immediately if I not deliver.''

''This is the only way a change in the politics of the country can come about. Why only Tamil Nadu? You may ask. Well, I have to start somewhere'', the Viswaroopam actor said.

''First, I must clean my own home, before I start on the neighbours'',he added.

The actor known for expressing his ideas loud and clear, said ''theouster of Sasikala is a solid step forward. But it's just the beginning''.

''I was extremely vocal about getting rid of her. Now that it has happened, I feel a little more encouraged in my belief that the politics of the state can change. And I want to bring about that change, no matter how slowly it may be'', Kamal Haasan said. UNI GV CS1626
