The three nominated BJP members of the territorial assembly today met Home Minister Rajnath singh in New Delhi and apprised him of the prevailing situation in the Union Territory. It may be noted that the Union Home Ministry had nominated three BJP activists as members of the territorial assembly without consulting the Congress government here. Since, Speaker V Vaithilingam asked them to wait till notification from Home Ministry comes for swearing-in, Lt.Governor Kiran Bedi administered them the oath of office at the Raj Nivas. Subsequent to the developments, the BJP members including State President Saminathan urged the Speaker to allot them room and seats in the house for which no action was taken yet though more than two months had passed. In this backdrop, the three members met Mr Singh and are expected to seek the intervention of the Home Ministry on their issue.UNI PAB CS1848
