Rajnath Singh speaks to Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on floods

Home Minister Rajnath Singh today spoke to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and discussed the flood situation in the state.The Bihar CM explained to the Home Minister the steps being taken by the state government to tide over the crisis.''Spoke to Bihar CM and discussed the flood situation in the state. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams have already reached the affected areas,'' Mr Rajnath Singh tweeted later.

To cope with fresh inundation in more areas, the Centre has rushed additional deployment of forces. ''The Centre is rushing additional NDRF teams to Bihar to help the ongoing rescue &relief operations in the flood affected region of the state,'' the Minister informed. According to Ministry sources, seven teams of NDRF), comprising 45 personnel in each, have already reached the affected areas in Bihar.UNI SD SNU 1610
