Pithoragarh (Uttarakhand) [India] | August 13, 2017 12:01:13 AM IST
Due to heavy rains, at least three people were killed and two critically injured in a landslide in Uttarakhand's Pithoragarh on Sunday.

The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The details of the victims and injured are awaited.

A family of five seemed to have been under the rubble of their own house.

Earlier on August 5, the Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway 58 was closed near Tota Ghati in Uttarakhand due to landslides.

Torrential rains for the past few days have wreaked havoc in the state with reports of death every now and then.

National Disaster Response Force teams have rushed to the area to evacuate those still trapped in under the debris.

Other parts of Uttarakhand like Dehradun and Rishikesh also witnessed rains.(ANI)
