Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member Kumari Selja today demanded a high level investigation into the incident of recovery of explosive material in the Uttar Pradesh vidhan sabha premises.

Stating this while interacting with media persons here, she expressed shock over the recovery of explosive material in the vidhan sabha premises in Uttar Pradesh which was a serious threat to the security in the state. She demanded a high level investigation into the incident.

The Congress leader said that the incident exposed the BJP leaders of making tall talks about their governance.

Selja said that the farmers were the worst affected people under BJP rule. The BJP did not fulfill its promise to accept the demand of farmers of implementing Swaminatahan Commission report. She regretted that instead of giving relief to the farmers they were being made face the bullets during their agitation for accepting their demands.

She criticised the BJP government for bringing essential commodities including dairy and poultry farming under GST which would be extra financial burden on the common people. She said that increasing VAT from 5 to 28 per cent under GST on scientific goods was injustice and would destroy the science industry in Ambala.

She said that the functioning of Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij was not approved by the people because instead of concentrating to improve the conditions in the health department, he devoted much time to criticise the leaders of national repute which had no value as a minister.UNI XC DB SHK 2159
