SBI not affected by Ransomware virus:

India's largest banking institution SBI today announced thatit has not affected by the Ransomware 'WannaCry' threats because it has specialtechnological system which would not be compromised by any virus. Announcing this SBI, Kolkata circle chief general manager Partha Pratim Sengupta said that they have not at all affected by any virus because its system was a special one and not connected to any traditional internet system. He said SBI customers, including ATMs using clients, should not apprehend from any rumor as there had been no single case recorded regarding new virus. However, efforts were on to ensure fool proof security to its customers across the country by implanting a special patch devise to its central system, which monitors all ATMs. "If the device could not be implanted from back room or central system then each and everyATM will have such device to protest the customer. And this would not affect the servicesat all," Mr Sengupta said. SBI has about 3200 ATMs across the state.UNI PC AD1441
