Writers, activists from India, abroad to take part in Kerala Literature Festival

Eminent writers, socio-cultural activists from the country and abroad would participate in second edition of Kerala Literature Festival beginning at Kozhikode beach from February 2.

Organizers said Evald Flizer, Aari Seethaz and Qauizra Sehral among ten writers from abroad and Sadguru, Romila Thapar, Ramachandra Guha, Sudheer Kakkar and Gopal Guru from India are expected to grace the 4-day event.

Besides, about 200 writers from the state too are taking part, they said.

As many as 120 sessions, including one on socio-political arena participated by Kerala Chief MinisterPinarayi Vijayan and CPI (M) Politburo member and eminent writer M Mukundan, would be hosted as part of the programme, they said.

Cultural programmes would also be held during the event organized chiefly by D C Kizhekkemuri Foundation with active support from different departments of the state government, they said.

Well known poet Sachhidanandan would be the festival director, they added.UNI PCH CS 1743
