Large number of IED bombs recovered from hideout of Maoists

In the continuing special drive to flush out Maoists, a joint team of CRPF and district police seized large number of IED bombs and other incriminating objects from Chalho hillock under Salaiya police station area in the district today.

Additional Police Superintendent (operation) Rajesh Bharati said here that 12 can bombs and 10 grenades were recovered from the hideout of extremists of outlawed CPI (Maoist) in Chalho area of the district.

He said that explosives were yet to be filled in bombs before these were recovered.

Mr Bharati said that prima facie it appeared that Maoists were assembling bombs in their hideout to execute their plan on a large scale.

He said that a massive manhunt has been launched to nab extremists. UNI XC DH AD2004
