Despite announcement of election date to the country's richest Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation by the State Election Commission of Maharashtra today, there is no word on alliance between the Shiv Sena and BJP.
Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray told mediapersons here that a group of six representatives, with three each from the Sena and BJP, would discuss on the alliance and then a final call would be taken by him and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The two ruling partners are trying to outsmart each other in the number game by taking the position of elder brother, while BJP cadre is adamant on going solo.
The Sena has a majority in BMC, while the position of BJP has been bolstered by the recent gains in the recently held local bodies elections in the state.
Meanwhile, Mr Thackeray continued with his tirade against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ridiculing him for his style and even on demonetisation.UNI JM SS SHS SHK 2115
