K'taka to usher new era in IT with Bengaluru ITE.biz 2016

Elevating itself to a new level, the 19thedition of India's flagship IT and Electronics eventBengaluruITE.biz 2016 to be held here from November 28 will focus onadvanced technologies and new areas for which the high tech cityprovided the necessary skill sets.

The three-day event, with the theme 'Define the Next' would focuson Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Robotics, Big Data, Virtual Reality(VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), Electronics System Design,Animation, Visual Effects and Gaming, Apps Development, Startups,and Entrepreneurship Development both in the conference sessions aswell as in the exhibition.

The event is moving back to the Bengaluru Palace and is expectedto be bigger, better and a lot more engaging, according to anofficial statement. It is being organized by the Department ofInformation Technology, Biotechnology and Science and Technology,Government of Karnataka, in association with Software TechnologyParks of India (STPI) Bengaluru, with the support of reputedNational Industry associations like NASSCOM, IESA, TIE and ABAI.

For the first time, Science Gallery, Bengaluru would beexhibiting on the theme, 'The Entanglement-a dance between Art andScience'in the exhibition arena of the event.

The keynote speakers incude Bhaskar Ghosh, Group ChiefExecutive, Accenture Technology Services, Anant Maheshwari,President, Microsoft India, Mr Kunal Shah, Founder and CEO,FreeCharge, Ms Nivruti Rai, GM, India and VP, Intel Corporation.

Seven countries including Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Israel,Netherlands - The Hague, Germany and Australia were participating inthe event.

A special session is being organised on the first day of theevent to showcase the potential of on two-tier cities in Karnatakalike Mysuru, Belgavi, Hubli-Dharwad, Kalaburagi and Mangaluru toemerge as next destinations to propel growth in IT and Electronics.

A full day track with specialised technical sessions on Use ofGeospatial Technology and Applications is being conducted byKarnataka State Remote Sensing Applications Center (KSRSAC) on November 30, 2016 with the theme "NEXT GENERATION APPLICATIONS USINGGIS". The various themes and unique case studies of implementationin the areas of Agriculture, Urban, Forest, Transport, Land recordsmanagement, location intelligence and analytics and futuretechnology trends shall be presented. The best of the globalindustry experts, Academia and Government agencies who haveimplemented state-of-the-art Geo-Spatial technologies and bestmanagement practices are expected to share their experiences.

STPI will be conducting the prestigious IT export awards event onNovember 29 to recognise the performance of the IT, ITES and EHTPcompanies under 10 Major Awards Category with 24 sub-categories.Awards to top ICT exporting companies, best employers, best emergingcompanies will also be given during the event. Additionally,for the first time, the department of IT, BT and ST is also givingaway Startup Karnataka Top Tech25 awards on November 30.UNI CNR MSP CS 1231
