Demanding universal pension of Rs 3000 per month to everyworker, including those engaged in unorganised sector and proper application of labourlaws for safe guarding interests of the working class, various trade unions will observe general strike in the country on September 2. In a bid to garner support for the stir, CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury has posteda series of tweets on his official page last night "End the silence..,..Join the battle(strike) to make the unheard voices of the workers heard",the CPM Chief wrote in the tweet. "Workers are our assets, the building blocks of our economy & society", Mr Yechury statedin another post stressing for Rs 3000 pension to all workers, organised and unorganised. Share of profit in our economy is on the rise..,..however, hire and fire approach encouragedwithout social security, he pointed out saying labour laws be enforced appropriately to ensureprotection of interest of workers, he said.UNI SS
