MDMK General Secretary Vaiko today urged the Centre to immediately drop its move to forcibly send back Sri Lankan refugee and eelam Tamil youth Dayanraj from the Trichy Refugee camp. In a statement here, he said following a request from the Sri Lankan government that some criminal cases were pending against him, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre has decided to forcibly send back Dayanraj to Lanka. Alleging that there was a conspiracy to take out his life by branding him as a member of the banned LTTE, Mr Vaiko said Dayanraj has been on fast at the Trichy Refugee camp for the last five days demanding that he should not be sent back to Sri Lanka. Similarly his wife and daughter were also on fast at the Mandapam Refugee camp, Mr Vaiko said and flayed the Modi Government for betraying the interests of eelam tamils. Accusing the Tamil Nadu government of supporting the Centre in this regard, the MDMK leader urged the Centre to immediately drop its move to forcibly send back Dayanraj to Sri Lanka. He said if the Centre failed to do so there would be agitations against the Union and State governments.UNI GV ADB JM 1100
