CM flags off bus to Tirupati under tourism package

Days after the Puducherry Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) inking a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Parveen Holidays Private Limited to organize tour packages to the Tirumala and Shirdi Sai Baba temples, Chief minister N Rangasamy today flagged off the first bus to Tirupati.

The government will get a revenue share of 7.6 per cent for the tour packages as per the agreement reached with the Praveen Holidays Private limited. The tour packages are organized as part of the governments efforts to promote tourism further. Interested persons could book the ticket at the PTDC office. Initially the package tour to Tirupati will be held three days in a week and weekly once to Shirdi. 40 seats will be available in the Tirupati tour. The packages, which will have A/C and non-A/C provisions, will include breakfast and the passengers should take care of the lunch and dinner for themselves.

According to Praveen travels, as many as 25 seats were available for the Shirdi tour and the group will be taken to destination by road as well as Air. The tour packages will be extended to domestic tourists destinations, hill stations in the near future.UNI PAB CS 1400
