The pro-startup initiatives undertaken bythe union government under 'Make in India' initiative is the rightstep to promote entrepreneurship in the country, India Electronicsand Semiconductor Association (IESA), the premier trade bodyrepresenting the Indian Electronic System Design and Manufacturing(ESDM) industry today said.
The organised acknowledged and applauded the initiative sayingthat the country's ESDM had witnessed a huge turnaround in theelectronics manufacturing landscape with Make in India campaign.
''The association believes Startup India will soon replicate asimilar success,''said M N Vidyashankar, President, IESA in a statement.
He said the initiatives like Electropreneur Park, which aims tocreate 50 ESDM startups and at least five global companies over five yearswith a focus on IP creation and Product Development, was theproofpoints of governments noble intention.
IESA had been closely working with the government in many suchinitiatives to create a startup ecosystem for the electronics manufacturing, he said.
''We are in the era of redefining Indias future economy. Withfocussed campaigns, we are gradually moving towards developedeconomy by creating manufacturing opportunities, bridging Indiasdigital divide.
Now, with promoting the entrepreneurial spirits with 'StartupIndia, India can emerge as a priority nation for any commercialtransaction and thereby indicating the countrys steady economicimportance in the global landscape.
''Our entrepreneurs are bound to be benefitted from the nationseconomic upliftment and this will help promote an entrepreneur inmany a home,'' he added.
IESA has been working towards creating a strong startup ecosystemin the ESDM sector. The association aims to create more institutionslike Electropreneur Park, in every region of India. The associationhas also supported startups like Sensegiz, Cardiac Design Labs,Xenon and many more in securing funding, he further added.UNI RS GM RN 1441
