New Marathi film 'Koti' (feminine behaviour),directed by Suhas Bhosale, won the 'Best Film' award in the FourthKolhapur International Film Festival (KIFF) which concluded here today.
While, 'Ganvesh' (Uniform) received the 'Viewers' Choice'Award in 'My Marathi' category in the Festival.
Film director Suhas Bhosale won the Best Director award, whileMarathi film actor Kishor Kadam bagged the Best Actor award for hisrole in Marathi film 'Ganvesh' (Uniform).
The awards were presented by renowned Marathi and Hindi filmactor and director Vijay Patkar, who is also president of AkhilBhartiya Marathi Chitrapat Mahamandal (ABMCM), in a glitteringfunction held on the concluding day of the eight-day-long KIFF atShahu Smarak Bhavan this evening. Kolhapur district collector DrAmit Saini was also present at the function.
Earlier, renowned Marathi film music director Ashok Patki wasconferred the 'Chitra Maharshee Anandrao Painter' award for hiscontribution to music.
In other categories, Chhaya Kadam won the Best Actress awardfor her role in new Marathi films 'Zelya' and 'Bhidu'.
Raj Durge got the Best Screenplay award for Marathi film'Koti'.
Child actors Divesh Medge and Adnesh Mudshingikar got theSpecial Jury awards.
The Marathi film 'Zelya' got the 'Special Viewers' Choice' Award.
The KIFF, which was inagurated on December 18 with openingfilm 'Ant Story' (Bangladesh), concluded today with the closing film'Mother of Asphalt' from Croatia, directed by Dali Barmatanic.
