Intl conference SKILLS 2015 in city from tomorrow

To create awareness about sanitation, Life Skills and Livelihood Skills International will organize the third International conference SKILLS 2015 at National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NIMSME) here from tomorrow.

The theme for the current meet will be Life Skill and Livelihood Skills-for achieving and sustaining a Clean India.

The two day conference is being organized to provide an impetus to the ongoing Swach-Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India) campaign in realizing its objectives. The conference will coincide with World Toilet Day.

Speaking to newspersons, event Chairman and Founder and CEO, American sentinel University said SKILLS 2015 is the third in a series of Life Skills and Livelihood Skills International conferences aimed at developing the skill levels, and therefore sustainable economies and general quality of life, of rural India.

He said earlier conferences SKILLS 2010 and SKILLS 2013 were held focused on The Challenges for Institutional Development and The Challenges for International Cooperation respectively. The Indian government was taking great initiative in promoting a Clean India and SKILLS 2015 was aimed at supporting and promoting the government of Indias initiative for achieving sustainable progress in this direction. He said sanitation problem was not only Indian problem, but also global problem. Every body concentrating on providing infrastructure. No one taking seriously on skills in the particular area. So we were focused on it. Co-Chairman of the conference, Dr Ravi Reddy said the event to address several dimensions of skill development related to sanitation and hygiene. SKILLS 2015 as platform for a dialogue for Clean India and would bring together policy makers, government officials, educators, business executives and training professionals from around the world to exchange ideas and promote initiatives on the sanitation, he added.

Delegates from reputed national and international organizations will participate in the conference.

Union Urban Development minister M Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Bandaru Dattatreya, Telangana IT and Panchayat Raj Minister K T Rama Rao will participate in the inaugural session.UNI VV VV AK17493.7 GB (24%) of 15 GB used
