The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) students wing - Students Organisation of India (SOI), which made its debut in students polls of Delhi, won majority of seats in three colleges.

Polls in different colleges were held, along with DUSU polls.

Addressing a news conference here, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee president Manjit Singh GK said the SOI has won 10 out of 18 seats in three colleges--three in Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa college (North campus), six in Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce (Pitampura), and one seat in Guru Nanak Dev College (Dev Nagar) in Delhi polls.

Recently, the SAD student wing had emerged victorious in Punjab University elections, Mr Singh added.

The SOI had decided to contest the students polls in Delhi on a short notice, he informed the mediapersons.

Addressing mediapersons, DSGMC General Secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa said today's victory of SOI will further strengthen the Shiromani Akali Dal.UNI NY RJ SB 1841
