The Chhattisgarh government has extended the ban on the Chetna Natya Manch (CNM) -- the cultural wing of Maoists -- under the Chhattisgarh Special Public Security Act, 2005, for a period of one year, official sources said.

The ban, which was first imposed on August 16 last year, has been extended by one year because of the outfit's involvement in insurgency activities in Naxal-affected districts. UNI SS PS SB NS1500 NNNN
