Sukumaran foundation award for 'Drisyam'

Malaylam movie 'Drisyam' has been selected as the best movie-2013 for the maidan Thikkurissi Sukumaran Foundation award, instituted by the foundation in memory of late Malayalam actor Thikkurissi Sukumaran.

Announcing the award, selection committee memeber Kundara Johni said that a four-member committee with Mr P V Gangadharan as chairman and Kundara Johni, K P Sutheer and Ajeesh Atholi as committee memebers unanimously selected Jayasurya and Swetha Menon as the best actor and actroress respectively for the award.

The award, carries a cash prize of Rs 25,000, a certificate and plague would be presented the winnes during the second week of February at Kasaragod, he said.

Following are the other award winners: Syama Prasad (best director), M Jayachandran (music director), Najim Arshad (male singer), Sithara (female singer), Murali Gopi (supporting actror), Lena (supporting actress), Iqbal Kuttipuram (best script writer) and Abhinandhan Ramanujam (chnematographer).

Nivin Pauly (popular actor), Nazriya (popular actress), Alphonse Putheren (popular director), Afsal Yusuf (popular music director), Sachin Warrier (popular male singer), Remya Nambeesan (popular female singer).

Special jury award went in favour of Avira Rabecca, Harisree Ashokan, Hareesh Peradi and Asha Aravid, he added. UNI CGV VV AK1545 NNNN
