To commemorate International Women's day, a grooming session was conducted for women cab drivers of 'Sakha', a social enterprise.

'Sakha' makes commitment to provide employment opportunities to qualified women drivers as chauffeurs to families, individual women, NGOs and corporate with an agreed contract, as well as providing a women's radio taxi service in the capital.

Most of the cab drivers have chosen this profession due to financial necessity and are today finding a source of livelihood through Sakha's initiative.

International Women's Day is celebrated as a recognition of the inner strength, courage, values and dignity that embodies a woman.

The session on Wednesday was conducted by Blossom Kochhar Beauty Products.

Blossom Kochhar Group of Companies Chairperson Blossom Kochhar remarked,"It is truly remarkable to see how these women drivers from Sakha have been able to deal with their problem with courage and fortitude."

"We hope that our initiative will further hone their skills to make them confident and help them to achieve their own personal goals. Brand Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic salutes these women of substance and conviction in the way they have chosen to lead their lives," she added.

Apart from an interactive session with Dr Blossom Kochhar, the women drivers were taught how to groom themselves so that they feel confident and be at par with international standards of service.

Ms Samantha Kochhar, Managing Director, Blossom Kochhar Beauty Products, further added," There are extraordinary qualities in every woman. As an organisation we believe that it is our corporate responsibility to highlight these women and their remarkable achievements. This is our way of celebrating International Women's Day which is why we are happy to collaborate with Sakha Consulting Wings Pvt Ltd in this endeavour."

Blossom Kochhar Beauty Products chose this day to pay homage to the success stories of the 'women of today' who are essentially women in unconventional and male dominated roles. UNI RL PR 1034
