Phurpa Tsering sworn in as parliamentary secretary

Arunachal Pradesh MLA from 4-Dirang (ST) Assembly Constituency Phurpa Tsering was sworn in as parliamentary secretary by Chief Minister Nabam Tuki.

He was given the oath of office and secrecy by the Chief Minister in a simple ceremony held here yesterday in the presence of ministerial colleagues and parliamentary secretaries as well as MLAs and other high government officials, sources informed today. With the swearing-in of Tsering, the number of parliamentary secretaries in the present government went up to twenty five. Expressing gratitude to the chief minister, Tsering, a first-time MLA, assured his cooperation to the government under his leadership on all fronts. Later, present on the occasion, Education Minister Bosiram Siram, Tourism Minister Pema Khandu, parliamentary secretaries Karikho Kri, Padi Richo, T N Thongdok, R T Khunjuju and MLA Kumsi Sidisow congratulated and felicitated the newly-sworn in parliamentary secretary, sources added.
