The Bangalore based death/thrash metal band Inner Sanctum, has emerged as the winner of the Vladivar Rock N India band search contest on Radio Indigo and won he oportunity to do the opening act for hard rock band Metallica which will perform in a concert here on October 30. As part of the contest, Inner Sanctum competed against three other Indian rock bands-orbitual, Versus and Silver Tears for a chance to consolidate their place in music history. The contest required participants to upload their entries/music videos on facebook.com/befreshed to be scrutinized by rock fans across the globe. After winning the appreciation of rock fans, the four bands battled it out on October 25 at CounterCulture to win the coveted opportunity to feature alongside Biffy Clyro as the opening act for Metallica on October 30 at the Palace Grounds here. Just three days away from what is being touted to be an epic scene in the music history of the rock capital of India, a Scream Patrol will be patrolling the streets of Bangalore to find the most interesting glass shattering scream that will make heads roll off at the concert, a press release said here. The patrol will carry with them a scream machine into which the contestants have to scream to win tickets to the concert and maybe also a drink from Vladivar on the spot. A new decade upon us! Since 2007, Inner Sanctum has been evolving from an underground project bands into one of India s premier metal outfits and one of Asia s constant parameters in the thrash and death metal genre.
