Glimpses of contemporary Iranian cinema at IFFI

Iranian Cinema was brimming with creative impulses this year, making International Film Festival of India (IFFI) to select a handful of films with high aesthetics and heartrending content. The Festival will give glimpses of the creative energy of 10 prominent film makers from Iran in the Package ''Glimpses of Contemporary Iranian Cinema''.
The Films to be showcased in the Package are: ''Digari'' (The Other) by Mehdi Rahmani, ''Third Floor'' by Bijan Mirbagheri, Iraq, ''The Evening of the 10th Day'' by Mojtaba Raie, ''Shab-E-Vaghe'E'' (The Fateful Night) by Sharram Asadi, ''The First Stone'' by Ebhrahim Forouzesh, ''The Day Goes and Night Comes'' by Omid Bonakar & Keivan, ''There is Nothing Behind the Door'' by Shabnam Orfinejad, ''Tehroun'' by Nader T Homayoun, ''Please Do Not Disturb'' by Mohsen Abdolvahab.
To represent the package at the festival will be present four leading Directors-- Shahram Asadi, Mojtaba Raie, Nader T Homayoun and Nastaran Kheirandsih, and the lead actor of ''The First Stone'', Mohsen Tanabandeh and its producer Alireza Sabt-Ahmadi. Post revolutionary Iranian cinema has been praised at many international forums and has been recognised at various festivals.
Iranian cinemas distinct style, themes, authors, idea of nationhood, and manifestation of culture has attracted international audiences to it, stated an official release.
