Protests over James Laine's book across Mumbai

The activists of several political outfits including Shivrajya Party, Sambhaji Brigade and Bharat Bachao Andolan (BBA) today staged demonstrations in the city to protest against the Supreme Court's decision to lift ban on the sale of contorversial book, 'Shvaji: The Hindu King in Islamic India', by Americal author James Laine. The protestors shouted slogans like 'R R Patil Chale Jao' and expressed their dicontent against him. The Shivrajya party president Sudhir Sawant said the ban was lifted due to the inefficiency of the state government in providing appropriate representation of the case in the Supreme Court, while giving an ultimatum of 30-days to the government to act on the issue.
