The Kerala Janapaksham (KJ), a breakaway faction of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), would take out a 'Janajagaran Yatra' from Kasargod to Thiruvantuapuram from February 1, 2010 against growing terror activities in the State, Addressing a press conference, KJ President K Raman Pillai, also a Former BJP State Chief, said the march, aimed at creating awareness among the people on the menace, would conclude in the State Capital on February 14. He alleged law enforcing agencies were primarily responsible for delaying action against criminal elements in the State. Citing an instance, he said the police virtually ''failed'' to book the culprits involved in planting pipe bombs in Malappuram District even after 14 years. Holding both the Centre and the State Governments responsible for spiralling prices of essential commodities, he said the public distribution system should be strengthened as a remedial measure. -- (UNI) -- 19MS18.xml
