"Cyclone Bijli" promises more rain

Cyclonice Storm "Bijli" over West Central Bay of Bengal today moved further North and lay centred at 200 km South East of Paradip.

A Cyclone Warning Centre spokesman told UNI here, it is likely intensify further and move in a north easterly direction towards Orissa and Bangladesh Coasts by this evening.

Under its influence, rain or thundershowers were likely at few places with isolated heavy showers over north coastal districts during the next 24 hours.

Strong surface winds from north westerly direction with speeds reaching 45 to 55 kmph were likely along and off North Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the period.

The sea would be rough to very rough off the sea coast of Andhra Pradesh and fishermen have been advised not to venture into sea.
