LDF Convener Vaikom Viswan today alleged vested interests and a section of the media were behind the ''Pro-UDF Election Survey.'' Talking to newspersons here, he claimed the political climate in the State was favorable for the LDF. Referring to the pastoral letter allegedly against the LDF, he said it was not against the grouping but a section was trying to propagate in that direction. The UDF was trying to make people think communally, Mr Viswan alleged. Asked about the murder of Zakeer, a CPI (M) activist, allegedly by PDP activists, he said killing of CPI(M) activists was not an agenda of the PDP. In Zakeer's case somebody might have used the label of the PDP, he said and alleged the NDF was totally a 'terrorist organisation.' Referring to the Janata Dal's alleged propaganda against the LDF he said only a section was against it. They were not strong enough to influence the election results, Mr Viswan claimed and added they would correct their stance.
