Atleast 115 Indian fishermen have been apprehended by the Pakistan Marine Security personnel from the Arabian sea off Jakhao port in the past three days.

National Fish Forum Gujarat Unit Secretary Manish Lodhari told UNI here today that about 72 fishermen, alongwith 13 boats, were captured by the marine men of that country near Kori creek off Jakhao Coast yesterday.

On March 22, the Pakistani personnel had nabbed 12 fishermen with their two boats, whereas on the previous day 31 fishermen along with five fishing trawlers were nabbed, Mr Lodhari said.

Meanwhile, Mr Lodhari has urged the Indian Coast Guard authorities and customs department to take prompt action for the release of the captured fishermen.
