Arrangements on for Session in Belgaum: Speaker

Speaker of Karnataka Assembly Jagadish Shettar here today reiterated the session in Belgaum will be a historic one providing constructive reformation to North Karnataka.

Talking to newsmen, he said the agenda mostly would be surrounding the problems and projects of North Karnataka though issues concerning the entire State would also will be discussed.

Arrangements for holding the Session were on at a brisk pace.

Tight security was provided. The State Government had released Rs 10.48 crore for the session.

This included repairing roads and other infrastructure.

The Question Hour had been suspended to discuss various issues during Zero Hour, he said.

He appealed all the members to provide good atmosphere to make the special session meaningful.

On development of twin cities of Hubli and Dharwad, he said work on upgradation of roads and other infrastructure was on.

The government had been liberal enough to provide funds.Already Rs 100 crore as special grant had been sanctioned and the work on various development schemes would begin from January 12, he said.
