Models and actors Dipannita Sharma and Claudia Ciesla, who graced the Mumbai Juniorthon 2017 here, said children must be constantly encouraged to participate in outdoor activities.

The event took place here on Sunday.

"Nowadays, outdoor activities have become so limited for children as they are always busy on computers, gadgets, phones and tabs. But I am really glad today that so many kids have gathered here," said Dipannita said.

"I feel if children can take part in physical activities like this, it's really good for their health. In future, I am also looking forward to run at least half a marathon," she added.

Claudia, who was last seen on screen in "Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3" said that even parents should be appreciated for encouraging and supporting their children.

"I am a fitness enthusiast myself and I like to motivate people and encourage them. I feel it is really necessary in our daily life for children as well as adults to be healthy and exercise regularly.

Actress Nidhi Bhanushali, 18, who plays Sonalika Bhide in "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah", said: "I feel kids like us should participate in outdoor activities rather than sitting at home and playing games on laptops and mobile as it will make us more fitter and healthier."
