To mark the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup France 2018 taking place in Brittany from August 5 to 24, the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Uruguay from November 13 to December 1 and the FIFA Women's World Cup France 2019, Deyna will take @FIFAWWC followers on an exciting behind-the-scenes experience during the FIFA World Cup in Russia as the world's top nations in men's football battle it out for the game's major international prize, a FIFA statement on Thursday said.
As one of the rising stars of women's football in Latin America and the joint Golden Boot winner at the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Costa Rica 2014, Deyna is currently studying journalism at Florida State University, where she plays as a forward for the university women's team, in addition to playing an important role in the Venezuela national women's team.
Regarded by many as a strong role model for young girls, the nominee for Best FIFA Women's Player and FIFA Puskas awardswas chosen to take over the @FIFAWWC account during the FIFA World Cup Russia as she represents the new generation of female footballers and utilises her strong social media presence to inspire and encourage girls to play football and #daretoshine.
