Wockhardt Foundation to Set-Up Toy Libraries for Underprivileged Children across India

In a unique initiative, Wockhardt Foundation has decided to set up toy libraries for underprivileged kids across India. Captioned Khel-Khel Mein, the Foundation aims to set up 150 toy libraries through city based NGO, Save The Children India.

“Because of the economic status of their parents, these kids are denied even the basic and simple childhood pleasure of playing with toys which most middle class children take for granted. The Khel Khel Mein initiative is a modest attempt to give these children this simple pleasure,” says Mr. Huzaifa Khorikawala, CEO-Wockhardt Foundation.

Khel-Khel main, an initiative of Wockhardt Foundation will work towards setting up toy libraries across India, wherein children could use the benefits of toys and books at these libraries. Wockhardt Foundation at the occasion gave away toys and books to the children associated with the Save the Children India and urged the citizen of India to come together and support the initiative for giving a better opportunity for the future of India.

Present at the event were Ms Nafisa Khorakiwala, Chairperson, Wockhardt Foundation, Mr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala, CEO-Wockhardt Foundation, Mrs. Samina Khorakiwala, Chief Warrior, Khel Khel Mein Programme and Dr. Subhadra Anand, Chief Executive Officer, Save the Children India.
