SensorDynamics, manufacturer and supplier of micro and wireless sensor semiconductor products, has entered into a license agreement with EnOcean http://www.enocean.com for the use of its patented energy harvesting technology within the automotive sector. EnOcean’s leading energy harvesting technology allows energy extraction from the environment - movement, light or changes in temperature – via miniaturized energy converters and generators, in combination with wireless data transmission. This technology is already well established in the industrial and building market, providing new opportunities for green – wireless and battery less – applications. By securing this leading technology for the automotive market, SensorDynamics will now offer fully integrated energy harvesting product solutions to its automotive customers worldwide. The first result of this new product family is the SD341 transceiver system specially designed for automotive energy harvesting applications. With this product, SensorDynamics enables battery less remote sensing e.g. in tyre pressure monitoring systems. The agreement enables SensorDynamics to offer a complete integrated wireless energy harvesting system solution. About EnOcean GmbH EnOcean GmbH is the originator of patented self-powered wireless technology. Headquartered in Oberhaching near Munich, the company manufactures and markets maintenance-free wireless sensor solutions for use in buildings and industrial installations.
