Madonna disappointed with birthday celebration London | August 19, 2008 10:35:05 PM IST
Pop star Madonna was left disappointed after her 50th birthday celebrations when several of her guests failed to turn up. She hosted a lavish party Saturday at the Volstead nightclub in London's West End which was attended by many of her family members and friends, reports Contactmusic.com. "I am really disappointed. There are a lot of people who are not here tonight, but thanks to everyone who did make it," Madonna reportedly told guests. Her daughter, Lourdes, played a song for her from hit musical "Fame" on a grand piano at the club and British director-husband Guy Ritchie presented her with $500,000 worth of jewellery on the occasion.rob/rd/vt (126 Words)19082132NNNN (IANS)
