Dungeon dad's fate to be decided by woman judge London | June 27, 2008 1:53:58 PM IST
Austrian incest fiend Josef Fritzl's fate will be decided by a woman judge, it has been announced. The country's most senior female judge, Andrea Humer, 48, will take charge of the trial of the evil dad later this year. She is renowned as the country's leading figure in difficult morality cases. Her first act will be to supervise a statement from victim Elisabeth, 42, who was raped and imprisoned for 24 years by her father in their hometown of Amstetten, reports The Sun. However, she is currently too ill to testify. Her evidence will be taken by video link and watched by Fritzl, 73, and his legal team at the jail where he is held. The system has been devised so shattered Elisabeth - who has six surviving children by her father - does not have to face him. Fritzl has already admitted imprisonment, rape and incest. He could also be charged with the murder of one of Elisabeth's newborn babies. (ANI)
