Unburned body found in rural incinerator Edmonton, Alberta | May 09, 2008 12:01:13 AM IST
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Wednesday was investigating a body found unburned in a rural Alberta incinerator a day earlier. The discovery was made in Parkland County, west of Edmonton by a maintenance worker summoned to repair the incinerator, the Edmonton Journal reported. The RCMP offered few details about the body, but said four people who live at the house were arrested. Neighbor Al McIntyre told reporters the incinerator was installed a few weeks ago, which was curious in that no one else in the area burns their garbage, the newspaper said. Other neighbors said an older couple lived in the house along with two grandsons in their early 20s, and people matching those descriptions were seen being taken away in handcuffs Tuesday afternoon, the report said. Several neighbors told the Journal they had recently heard gunshots in the neighborhood, but with few comments by police, it wasn't known if the shots were related to the incinerator corpse. (UPI)
