Padma Lakshmi denies she was unfaithful London | November 23, 2007 2:05:07 PM IST
Padma Lakshmi has denied that her marriage to acclaimed author Salman Rushdie ended because of her infidelity. Lakshmi filed for divorce from Rushdie in July after a three-year marriage and was rumoured to have cheated with Ted Forstman who was late Princess Diana's former suitor. But Lakshmi vehemently denies that she was unfaithful, reports contactmusic.com. She said: "What can I say? Salman is the greatest love of my life. We really tried to work it out. I wish I could tell you exactly why (it ended), but there was no 'That's it' moment. It was just like slowly getting very hard. There was no third party. I wasn't mean to his kids. There was no infidelity." However, a source told Vanity Fair magazine: "Lakshmi and Forstmann are an item. They are dating." (IANS)
