Imogen Thomas on why she and Jermain Defoe broke up
London | November 05, 2009 3:54:01 PM IST

Brit model Imogen Thomas has revealed that her split from Brit footballer Jermain Defoe had not been brought about by his cheating.

Thomas, 26, is adamant that Defoe, 27, has never cheated on her, despite his having a ladies man reputation.

"He wasn't cheating. We were together every day so I don't see how he could possibly have been. There were no signs," the Daily Star quoted her as saying.

"It was a mutual decision and it just wasn't meant to be. We split about a week ago but it had been rocky for a couple of weeks," she said.

The Welsh beauty blames their split on her wanting to get married, settling down, and staying in, while the footie star preferred clubs, parties and nights out with his footballer pals.

"We just wanted different things. I wanted stability and I don't think Jermain's ready for that," she explained.

"I like to stay in quite a lot, watch DVDs, make dinner and chill out.

"I definitely wanted to settle down and have the whole marriage and kids thing.

"I still want to do that before I'm 30, I just need to find the right guy," she added. (ANI)
